Hello friends! I’m excited to share my latest health update with you. As many of you know, my dear friend and mentor Les Feldick passed away last month at the age of 85 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. In honor of Les’ life and legacy, I wanted to share some information about his life and work that may be of interest to you all.
I first met Les when I was just starting out in the film industry back in the late 1970s. He was one of the most respected filmmakers in the business, and he quickly became a mentor to me. We worked on several projects together over the years, including his Academy Award-nominated documentary “Kinta” (about an Oklahoma town destroyed by oil drilling).
Les was also a great teacher. He taught me how to edit films, how to write scripts, and how to shoot movies ufffd skills that have served me well throughout my career.
In recent years, Les had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease but he never gave up on life. He continued working on new projects until very recently ufffd even completing a new documentary called “The Unseen Realm” just before he died.
I believe that Lesufffd death marks the end of an era ufffd not only for him as an artist but also for all of us who were lucky enough to know him. We are sad to report that Les Feldick, beloved Bible teacher and founder of Oklahoma-based Bible study group “Through the Bible with Les Feldick,” has passed away. He was 93 years old.
Feldick was born in Kinta, Oklahoma, and grew up on a farm during the Great Depression. He worked his way through college and eventually became a successful businessman. In 1970, he had a powerful conversion experience while attending a Billy Graham crusade. Soon after, he began teaching weekly Bible studies in his home.
Word of Feldick’s dynamic teaching style spread quickly, and soon he was hosting regular television programs that were seen around the world. He wrote several books based on his teachings, which emphasized literal interpretation of Scripture and obedience to God’s Word.
In recent years, Feldick had been battling health issues, including cancer and stroke. He continued to teach Bible studies until shortly before his death.
Les Feldick was an incredible man of God who impacted countless lives through his preaching and teaching. We will miss him dearly but are comforted by the knowledge that he is now in heaven with his Savior Jesus Christ.

Les Feldick, a prominent Bible teacher and founder of the Bible study ministry known as “Through the Bible with Les Feldick,” passed away on Tuesday, May 26th, at his home in Kinta, Oklahoma. He was 93 years old.
Feldick was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma on August 23, 1924. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and then attended Phillips University where he earned a degree in education. He later received a master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He was ordained as a minister in 1950 and served churches in various capacities over the years including pastor, youth minister, and evangelist. In 1970, he founded the Indian Bend Baptist Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he continued to serve as senior pastor until his retirement in 1995.
It was during his time at Indian Bend Baptist Church that Feldick began producing his popular Bible study programs which were initially aired on local radio stations before eventually being syndicated nationally and internationally. His programs were unique in that they took listeners “through the entire Bible – book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse.”
Over the years, Feldick wrote several books based on his Bible teaching ministry including “Bible Studies for Life,” “The Holy Spirit: Activating God’s Power In Your Life,” and “What Happens When I Die?: Straightforward Answers to Common Questions About Death and Heaven.”
Feldick continued to teach the Bible right up until his death earlier this week; just last month he taped two new episodes of his program which are scheduled to air later this year.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Les Feldick, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Les passed away peacefully at his home in Kinta, Oklahoma on March 9th, 2018 after suffering a stroke. He was 92 years old.
Les was born in Mulvane, Kansas on September 17th, 1925 to William and Frieda (nee Becker) Feldick. He was one of six children and grew up on the family farm during the Great Depression. Les moved to Oklahoma in his 20s and worked as a rancher before starting his own construction company. He married the love of his life, Irma Jean (nee Holmes), in 1949 and they had three children together: David, Debbie, and Darrell.
In addition to being a successful businessman, Les was also a gifted teacher with a passion for Bible study. In 1970 he began hosting weekly Bible study classes out of his home which quickly grew in popularity. Over the next few decades he would author several books on Biblical interpretation and teach hundreds of thousands of people around the world through his TV program “Through the Bible with Les Feldick.” His down-to-earth teaching style made complex theological concepts easy to understand for laypeople, and he had a profound impact on those who heard him speak.
Les is survived by his wife Irma Jean; their three children David (Connie), Debbie (Mike), and Darrell (Teresa); nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but we take comfort in knowing that he is now with our Lord Jesus Christ whom he loved so dearly.

We are sad to report that Les Feldick, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Sunday, March 1st. He was 92 years old.
Les was born in Kinta, Oklahoma on December 18th, 1927. He was the only child of Henry and Ida Feldick. Les grew up during the Great Depression and learned the value of hard work from an early age. He worked on his family’s farm and attended Kinta High School, where he was an outstanding athlete. After graduating from high school in 1945, Les enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country proudly during World War II.
After the war, Les returned to Oklahoma and married his high school sweetheart, Wilma Jean Wilkinson. They had three children together: Gary, Janice, and David. Les went to work for an oil company and eventually started his own business in 1968. He was a successful businessman who provided well for his family.
In addition to being a loving husband and father, Les was also very active in his community. He served on the Kinta City Council for many years and was a member of the Lions Club and Rotary Club. He was also a devoted Christian who taught Sunday School at his church for many years.
Les enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him but we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Les Feldick, the founder of the Bible study program known as “Through the Bible in 24 Hours,” passed away on September 29, 2019 at the age of 92. In his will, he left behind a legacy that continues to impact people all over the world.
Feldick’s daughter, Linda Goff, said her father was a man of great faith who loved God and loved people. “He was always so kind and gentle, yet had such a powerful message,” she said. “I know Daddy is now rejoicing in heaven with our Lord and Savior.”
Goff said her father’s love for teaching the Bible began when he was just a young boy. He would often preach to his friends and family members in his backyard in Oklahoma.
“Daddy always wanted to make sure everyone had access to the Word of God,” she said. “That’s why he started ‘Through the Bible in 24 Hours.’ He wanted to make sure that people could understand what they were reading.”
Feldick’s program quickly grew in popularity, and eventually led to him writing more than 70 books on various topics related to Christianity. His teachings have been translated into multiple languages and have reached millions of people around the globe.
At the time of his death, Feldick was survived by his wife of 70 years, Norma; three children; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
