The Mackenzie Health Library is a free and open access library of health-related resources. It’s an online resource that provides up-to-date, quality information for healthcare providers, students, patients, and the public.

The major mackenzie library is the largest public library in North Dakota. The Library has been open since 1885 and it is still going strong.

Mackenzie Health Library Services

The Mackenzie Health Library Services is a public library system serving the city of Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The system has four branches: Major Mackenzie, Pleasant Ridge, Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC), and Mackenzie West.

The mission of the library is to provide free and open access to information, ideas, and creativity for all people of the community. In order to achieve this goal, the library provides a variety of services such as storytimes, programs for children and adults, computer classes, meeting rooms for rent, study spaces, Wi-Fi hotspots, and more.

The Major Mackenzie branch is located at 315 Dufferin Street and is open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 9pm, Friday from 10am to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. This branch offers many services such as 3D printing demonstrations and workshops (for a fee), an after-school homework help program called Brainfuse (free with a valid library card), an Indigenous Resource Centre collection featuring materials about First Nations culture (freely available to everyone),and much more.

Pleasant Ridge branch is located at 1800 Rutherford Road and is open Monday -Thursday 9:30am-9pm , Friday 9:30am-5:30 pm , Saturday 9:30 am-5 pm , closed on Sundays . This branch offers plenty of services too like adult literacy tutoring services , citizenship test preparation sessions( in partnership with Seneca College) which are both free . It also has collections like African Canadian Heritage Collection( open to everyone ) .

Mackenzie Health Library Locations

The Mackenzie Health Library has locations across the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) and throughout the city of Vaughan. The main library is located in the VMC, with branches in Major Mackenzie Drive and Pleasant Ridge. The library is open to the public during regular business hours, Monday to Friday.

The Mackenzie Health Library provides a variety of services to its patrons, including access to books, journals, databases, and other resources. The library also offers meeting space for community groups and events, as well as study space for students.

Mackenzie Health Library Hours

The Mackenzie Health Library is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed on statutory holidays.

Patients and families can access the Library from anywhere in the hospital by calling 416-480-6100, ext. 81010 or 81011.

The Mackenzie Health Library is committed to providing the highest quality library services to our patients, staff and physicians. We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our hours and are now open Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm. Our new extended hours will allow us more time to serve our community and provide them with the resources they need.

In addition to our regular services, we also offer a variety of programs and events for all ages. From story times for kids to computer classes for adults, we have something for everyone. We also offer a variety of materials, including books, magazines, newspapers, e-books and more. So come on down and check us out!
